J and R Poulty consist of several people having their own interest in birds. As you can see by the variety in the birds that we raise we all like something a little different.
We offer quality birds for sale to show and raise.
We also offer eggs year round for hatching. We ship nationwide and are NPIP certified yearly.
You will not find culls offered for sale here, those birds go to the local farmers auction.. We only offer quality, healthy animals to our clients. Our birds are kept in breeding pens and fed quality feed with some extras for variety in the diet. We offer fresh greens and whole wheat bread to keep the diet interesting for the breeders.
For our show and breeding birds we adhere to a routine flock management schedule that includes the following:
Treatment with Terramycin and Sulmet for flock health Pirahana spray for mites
Deworming
Trimming nails and beaks
Oystershell at all times
Banding each bloodline for pedigree research
We are accepting orders for eggs and birds for 2005 at this time.
